Postage Stamp Frame Template

However, tonight was not a good seance. I probably would have been more receptive if the dude had not been wearing a do rag. The huge medallion hanging mid chest did not help either. I have been to many paranormal ceremonies and the location of this annual event is so prime and well known for its hauntings, that this fella must have just gotten off the bus from a movie set. He was horrible. I kept telling myself that God loves him also and then I had to try not to giggle under my breath at the humor of it all.

Anyway, Happy Halloween to you all.

I am posting a little embellishment tonight that I think you will find useful. It is so easy and so quick. All you have to do is size your photo and place it in between the two layers in the file and you have yourself a nice little postage stamp. Leave off the top layer and you can make a postage stamp without the cancellation marks. Save it as a .PNG to retain the transparent background and you are done.

Merry Christmas Text Path

Exhausted. Totally exhausted. So much to do and so little time. Perhaps you can use this little message on a holiday page. Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful day.

Christmas Papers with Dated Ribbon

Something a little different. Two 12 x 12 sheets of Christmas paper. One in dark blue and one in deep red. Can be scaled down and used as Christmas cards, just add your Christmas greeting. I will add several matching sets over the next few nights.

Blue Winter Paper with Photo Cluster and Tutorial

Everyone ready for the weekend? I surely am! Again this year, our resort park is ringing the bells for the Salvation Army and I have been the coordinator for this year. It is actually quite fun, but I am glad that this week is behind me. I am very tired.

The paper, ribbon, photo cluster PSD files and snowflake embellie can be downloaded here:

I hope you can recall the tutorial steps for the photo cluster that I included in the City Streets collection. The photo cluster consists of PSD files. The tutorial for the PSD files can be downloaded here, and they are very easy and lots of fun.

Red and White Winter Paper

This set matches the previous two sets. It contains two papers, a red snowflake embellie, a red ribboned clasp to wrap around the photo and a tutorial to learn how to use the photo cluster PSD. files. Download it here

The tutorial for the photo cluster is a separate download

Clamped Flower

Download the freebie 'clamped petal' from the layout above and see if you might find a fun way to use my collection of "Clamped Petals". This is a layout I did of my youngest grandaughter, Izabel Ireland. The freebie clamped petal does not have the attached charm on a chain, but it is included in the "Clamped Petals" kit which has been moved to the Boutique.

All of the other materials for this layout are from Scrapgirls: Izabel tag from BMU_Bella_Noel, 'Be Mine' heart paper from BHA_A Little Worn Out Paper_Distressed Dots, Stitching from: EHI_Chic_Embroidery and the
background paper from: DEB_Rustica_Paper_Mauve. I download tons of freebies day in and day out, but I don't think that I would even attempt digital scrapping without my Scrapgirls kits. Download the free clamped petals here

Christian Book Marks

These bookmarks are so popular with my family and friends that it is difficult to keep up with the requests. The bookmark folds over the top of a book page and is held securely with craft magnets. I saw the idea several years ago in a gift shop in upper Michigan. Those bookmarks had sailboats and shells with a tourism greeting on the backside. I worked this around in my head until it became what I wanted. When you open this bookmark, it reads:
Dear XXXX,
I am saving a
place for you.
Love, Jesus.
So,on a daily basis your gift will remind someone that Jesus has prepared a place and is waiting for them. What more could you give to someone you care about? I have included a tutorial that will walk beginners and masters alike through the kit. All the files are written and saved as PSD. files with Photoshop Elements 5. Hope you like it, I know your loved one will. Download here

Valentine Damask

I was searching for the original meaning of Valentine's Day . . . wow, there are lots of myths and legends surrounding this holiday. Stories of wolves eating village citizens and Saints being clubbed to death and then beheaded. So, the next time you hear someone say that Valentine's Day is just another Hallmark Holiday; you might just remind them of Saint Valentine being beaten to death by prison guards and then beheaded. Anyway, I think I will post a new Valentine freebie kit every day from now until February 14th. Hope you like them.

Mature Love

Wow, what a non-productive slump I have been in lately. When we realized that Phyllis was not going to recover from cancer, I purchased a book called "90 Minutes in Heaven". A very reassuring book written by a Pastor who was in an automobile accident and pronounced dead at the scene. The title tells the main theme of his account of those events. Anyway, it was extremely calming and I thought that I would not get depressed when Phyllis left for New York to die at home. Dah. . .Eventhough, I am totally positive that she is experiencing all that is wonderful and spiritual; I was grieving for myself. My loss. My aloneness. Regardless of my own self-pity, anyone who has a friend or family member who has recently endured the death of a loved one; I highly recommend this book. Enuf said.
Hope you like tonights freebie and please forgive me for not posting for awhile.

Scalloped Circle Frame

I have just been playing around these past few days. Florida was really depressing for me this year and we headed home a month early. I am soooooo glad to be back in Michigan. I have been working on my office/scraproom walls since I brought home a few ornaments. Nothing with dolphins or palm trees! I had these letters that spelled HOME, so I covered them in Basic Grey Fusion and hung them in the square format with two letters on the top and two letters on the bottom. So, the old poop was on the phone and I noticed him staring at my 'wall word'. When he got off the phone, he looked puzzled and asked if I was a HO!

Today, I have just been playing with digitals and sorting out my files. I made a page of my grandaughter from last summer. Thought you might like to see it.

The papers are from Thao Cosgrove's Creative Cat and Doggy Tales kits at ScrapGirls. The Paper Tearing action is by Melissa Renfro also at ScrapGirls. The circular stitches were a freebie by Meine Regeln and you can still get them at http://manu70.blogspot.com/ and everything else is of my own making. However, I thought you might like to use my scalloped circle frame (without the stitches, since they are not mine to give away), so you can download it here:

Pretty Girl Quick Page

Nothing makes me happier than still being in my jammies at 10:30am and playing with digitals while drinking my second cup of coffee. This is a template I made this morning and the goregous animal is our girl, Shadow. The patterned paper is from the 'Creative Cat' kit at Scrapgirls. Thanks for looking.

Actually, if you like it; you can grab the Quick Page Template here

Spring Quick Page

My DD was raggin on me about my 'stuff '. She is a huge fan of digital scraps and she wanted to know why I couldn't make something more dramatic rather than my usual bows and printed paper with pics of my dog. Oh, and she wanted nothing that I had purchased; it all had to be my own work. Okay, darling daughter!! This page took me almost five hours to make. I don't have that kind of time. Well, I do; but dah . . .

Actually, it is a rather large file. However, you may not want to add the text or the butterfly or whatevrrrrr . .
